The company Crytek announced that the closed phase of alpha testing of the first-person multiplayer shooter Hunt: Showdown will begin on January 31.
Participants in the testing will be randomly selected from among those who have registered on the project site. By the way, it’s not too late to do it – just follow the link and enter your email address. If you are lucky, then at this address you will receive an invitation and activation key. However, the authors did not specify when the mailing will be organized.
During the testing period, Crytek will “check the gameplay, balance, performance of the basic game functions, and collect user feedback,” and, if necessary, make appropriate corrections. Also in the process it is planned to constantly add new content, such as weapons and gadgets. Once the studio is satisfied with the quality of “alpha”, the shooter will be released in Steam Early Access and will be available to all comers.
Hunt: Showdown is an atmospheric multiplayer action movie with a first-person view that combines elements of PvE and PvP. On one large map, somewhere in the marshes of Louisiana, there will be five teams of two men each. The task is to track down and kill the formidable monster in order to receive the reward. The difficulty is that not only monsters, but also other players, who will try to kill competitors or steal from more successful teams earned awards, are a danger. If your character dies, you can still earn experience and rewards through the so-called “blood ties” system, provided that the partner successfully escapes. But if both fail, you will lose not only the accumulated experience and money, but also the current hero. By the way, you can play not only in pairs, but also alone.
