Companies 2K Games and Firaxis Games announced the alternative leader of India for the global turn-based strategy Sid Meier’s Civilization VI. They will become Chandragupta, which united most of the Indian subcontinent, thereby creating one of the largest empires in this part of the world.
The developers recalled that the choice of a ruler allows players to use the strengths of civilizations in different ways. So, if the power at hand Gandhi flourishes in peacetime, the Chandragupta empire encourages a more aggressive style of play. When choosing the last ruler, all the characteristics of India – a unique combat unit (“Varu”), an infrastructure object (“Step Wells”) and a unique ability (“Dharma”) – are preserved
The special skill of the Chandragupta itself is called “Arthashastra.” After studying the “Military Training”, he can declare war for the expansion of the territory, while adding to his detachments movement points and increasing their combat power by several moves. With an alternative ruler, fighting elephants will help India to conquer the world and win a military victory, and “Stepped Wells” will provide food and shelter for your subjects.
Chandragupta will appear in Civilization VI with the addition of Rise and Fall, which will be released on February 8th. In addition to Korea, the Netherlands and Mongolia, it will add a few more new civilizations (or their alternative leaders) to the game, which will be presented in the coming weeks.
