Indie developers have collected 90 thousand dollars for the game for the retro-console SEGA

Kraudfanding campaign isometric retro shooter Xeno Crisis at the site Kickstarter ended with a resounding success – the developers managed to raise an amount three times their expectations. The most notable feature of the project is that the British studio Bitmap Bureau, dealing with the development of Xeno Crisis, will release both on the super popular hybrid console Nintendo Switch, and on the iconic 16-bit prefix of the 90s SEGA Mega Drive.

Moreover, according to developers, they consider the retro platform SEGA to be the main one. As for Switch-versions and ROMs for PC, they are created only for those fans of the classic arcades of the past century who do not have an “ancient” prefix and therefore can not launch the game from the cartridge. As it turned out, fans of the endangered genre of shoot ’em up in the world are many – not without reason, the British Bitmap Bureau, counting on $ 27 thousand, managed to collect nearly $ 90,000 for the development of Xeno Crisis. What will go additional funds from Kickstarter – is still unknown. Most likely, the project will not be finalized, but will only be released in a wider circulation. However, it is too early to draw any unambiguous conclusions.

In Xeno Crisis, already two years developed by only four people, gamers will be available five levels, in each of which they have to fight off hordes of alien aggressors with the help of nine weapons. Also in the game there will be a pumping system and a cooperative passage mode. Release of the shooter is scheduled for October 2018.
