The development of the beautiful pixel platformer Owlboy started back in 2007, but the final version went on sale only last November. Despite the love of critics (the average score for Metacritic is 88 points), it was not possible to win great popularity on Steam, according to SteamSpy, the project sold 170,000 copies.
But developers from D-Pad Studio continue to support Owlboy. This week, a major update is available, adding a translation into the game in 10 different languages.
In addition, next year, the platformer will visit the console. On the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, it will be released on February 13, at about the same time a physical version of the project will appear in retail stores, but neither the release date nor the price has been announced yet. Soedco publishing house will be engaged in distribution.
Owlboy tells the story of a silent owl boy named Otus, whose village was attacked by air pirates. He travels through the big open world and constantly meets new companions, each of whom has unique skills.
