In December, Bandai Namco Entertainment published many short clips of the upcoming role-playing game Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. We bring them to your attention.
The first video suggests a look at the regime of building the kingdom. In it, the protagonist Evan can create his own small possessions, filled with characters, which he will convince to follow him. The appearance of this mode does not differ from the movement on the open world – it appears before you in the so-called chibi-style.
Earlier, Bandai Namco published a gameplay trailer with a demonstration of combat mechanics. In the video, the protagonist starts a battle with a giant mushroom, and then goes to the boss of Jelly Queen, a huge octopus. The battle is very active, and players have the ability to quickly switch between characters who have unique abilities. The trailer is played by music from the Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi .
The next video tells about the internal work of the studio Level-5, which creates Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. The team is working hard on the game to match the success and performance level of Ni No Kuni. The reason for extending the development period is that the studio did not manage to introduce additional modes in Ni No Kuni II – skirmishes (Skirmish) and kingdoms, which, according to the authors, should be implemented properly.
Finally, a video about the Japanese sound of the game was published. In it you will hear the voices of the seiyu and will be able to assess the quality of the work of the actors.
Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was announced on the PlayStation Experience in 2015. At a press conference with Sony in the E3 2017, it was announced that the game was decided to be postponed until January 19, 2018. However, in November, there were rumors that the release of Ni No Kuni II could be postponed again, and in the first half of December it was officially announced. New, and, we hope, the latest release date is scheduled for March 23, 2018. The game will be released on the PlayStation 4 and PC.
