In mid-December, Jam City announced a contract with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to develop a role-playing mobile game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. And now, a month later, a teaser trailer has been published.
At the time of the initial announcement, the authors published only a logo and a verbal description of their project, and now they provided an opportunity to look at the game. The movie, although short, but it presents some mechanics on the game engine, so that you can already get an idea of the quality of graphics. By creating a character, the player will be able to conduct it through all the training at Hogwarts, starting with the choice of the magic wand and ending with the final magical exams.
In the process, you can visit the duel club, lessons of protection from the dark arts and potions, as well as other activities mentioned in the books. You will meet with Hagrid, Professor Snape, Professor McGonagall and other famous teachers of the school. The events of the game will unfold not during the book history of JK Rowling, but not long before, in the 1980s.
“This is the first project in which you can create your own characters – the students of Hogwarts!” – the authors announced. Launch Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will be held under the label Portkey Games, in which Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment plans to create a whole series of adventures, dedicated to magic and fascinating travel. The exact release date for the game yet, but the publisher intends to release it this year.
