On the night of 6 to 7 November, Google released its own version of the file manager, called the Files Go. After only a few hours, the application disappeared from Google Play, leaving hundreds of users confused.
The Files Go interface is made in the spirit of Material Design and has a high level of intuition. Like most analogs, it can be used not only for navigation on a smartphone, but also for tracking repetitive and unnecessarily large files. The relevant information is displayed directly on the main page of the application, without forcing the user to perform a manual search.
In addition, Files Go will remind you of installed programs that have not been used for a long time, and will allow you to share saved files with a friend even without connecting to the Internet, similar to Apple’s AirDrop. Here you can estimate the remaining space on the disk, if necessary, irretrievably deleting unnecessary information.
Despite the fact that at the moment Files Go is not available for download from Google Play, it can be downloaded as an APK file without problems. Attention: the application is still in the beta stage, and therefore with a high probability of failure. All actions for loading and installation you do at your own risk.
