While everyone is waiting for something grand from the partnership Sonos and Ikea, the latter launched its own Bluetooth-speakers. They are called Eneby and are available in two sizes: 20.3 × 20.3 and 30.5 × 30.5 cm.
Buyers can choose columns of several color options: with plastic black or white and black or gray fabric of polyester. The smaller device is positioned as a portable device, since it is equipped with a handle. There is an opportunity to buy a set of batteries: with them, the column will be able to work without connecting to the power grid for up to 10 hours.
The speakers have the function of automatic shutdown in order to save energy in case of downtime. You can connect the sound source to the speaker not only via Bluetooth, but also via a 3.5 mm AUX cable. Each speaker has the ability to connect up to eight Bluetooth devices. Ikea did not provide sound characteristics, but the devices are equipped with separate high- and low-frequency speakers.
Eneby can be placed on horizontal surfaces and hung on walls – the stand is sold separately for $ 10. A smaller model of the device will cost $ 49, a large one – $ 89. A set of batteries is sold for $ 20.
Like most other products from Ikea, the speakers require assembly – true, minimal. This is mostly about attaching the handle to a smaller model. At the moment, the devices can not be bought on the company’s website, but they are available in most stores – but only in the US and UK.
