Samsung has upgraded Bixby software for Galaxy Note8 and Galaxy S8, which will help to completely remove the voice assistant from the system. Let’s remind, two months earlier the South Korean manufacturer has allowed to disable the assistant in settings, however for some users this innovation has caused problems with accidental unlocking of smartphones. Now Samsung has fixed the bug and added some more useful options in Bixby.
Earlier when Bixby turned off, the physical button for its call continued to work as a lock key, which is why smartphones routinely “wake up” from accidental clicks in their pockets. In the latest update, Samsung completely shut down the Bixby key.
In addition, the company updated the contact analysis utility to more accurately recognize the voice commands. All Bixby updates are available through Galaxy App Update now.
