HP has expanded its range of mobile computers running Chrome OS with a new model under the straightforward name Chromebook 15. This is the first 15.6-inch chromebook in the manufacturer’s range and this is not its only feature.
First of all, the HP Chromebook 15 model stands out with a premium design: the use of aluminum in the design, a slim case, a large touchpad and a narrow frame around the screen. In addition, against the background of most representatives of the class, the novelty is distinguished by parameters.
HP Chromebook 15 is equipped with a touch screen. The screen resolution is 1920×1080 pixels, the panel type is IPS. RAM is installed 4 GB, and the amount of internal storage eMMC – 64 GB. The basic version is estimated to be considerable for the $ 449 segment. For a fee, you can get a more powerful Intel Core i5 processor of the eighth generation (the exact model is not specified) and 128 GB on the drive.
Another feature of this model is a full-sized keyboard with a dedicated digital block. This option will definitely be convenient for solving work tasks and those who often work with numbers.
The battery should be enough for 13 hours of operation. It is also worth noting the presence of a good set of ports, including USB 3.0, USB-C (x2), a card reader and a 3.5 mm combined audio jack for a microphone and headphones, a front wide-angle webcam with two microphones and Bang & Olufsen speakers.
There are two colors to choose from: silver and blue. Sales should begin as soon as possible. Actually, HP has announced sales of the Chromebook 15 through its online store from today, but so far in the box availability of the goods indicated “soon on sale.”
